Information
Ageing male syndrome refers to a set of symptoms associated with a decline in testosterone levels in the male body. It is also known as andropause or, informally, the “male menopause”, although this term is not entirely accurate. Testosterone levels naturally begin to decline gradually in men from around the age of 30, but symptoms of andropause are usually noticed after the age of 50. The intensity of symptoms varies from man to man, and an important factor is also whether a particular man perceives them as a problem that affects or limits his everyday life.
