Why get tested?

An antibody test shows whether your body has already developed antibodies against an infection, and if so, which ones. It is possible to have had an infection without any symptoms or with such mild symptoms that you did not notice them.

Whether or not you are already a patient at our clinic, we provide the same high standard of care to everyone. You can book your blood test through our reception by emailing recepce@uromedico.cz, calling +420 225 990 999, or using our contact form. Our reception is available every weekday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

At our clinic, we perform comprehensive antibody testing, including the three main antibody classes: IgA, IgM and IgG.

Price: CZK 1,500

Understanding your test results

A blood antibody test measures the presence of IgA, IgM and IgG antibodies to determine whether you have been exposed to an infection in the past or whether the infection is currently active.

An ongoing infection can usually be detected by IgA antibodies from approximately the fifth day after infection or by IgM antibodies from around the eighth day. If your results show IgG antibodies, it most likely means that you had the infection in the past.

Your results will be communicated by our reception team via email or phone. If you need a printed laboratory report, you can collect it in person or we can send it to you by post.

When is the test appropriate?

The test can be performed at any time, except when you are experiencing symptoms such as flu-like illness, fever, wheezing or similar signs of an acute infection. In these cases, we recommend a PCR test, which is the approved method for confirming an active infection, and we advise you to contact your general practitioner.
