Information
Testicular prosthesis implantation is a surgical procedure in which an artificial testicular implant, most commonly made of silicone or another biocompatible material, is placed in the scrotum.
It is most often performed after removal of a testicle (orchiectomy) for oncological, developmental or traumatic reasons and is primarily intended to restore the natural appearance of the scrotum.
The procedure does not affect hormonal or reproductive function.
